*For our individual reviews, we won't be using the same rating system as our group reviews. We ask each Ram to give the "score" of - Dram, Bottle or Case.
Dram - try it first
Bottle - the review has conviction in this bottle and would be comfortable recommending someone purchasing a bottle to enjoy
Case - money being no object, having this as a constant in your rotation
The reason we wanted to share individual reviews as well is to give additional avenues and resources for readers to calibrate their palates with the different Rams.*

Nose - Cinnamon, cinnamon spice is all over this on the beginning. The cinnamon subdues over time, traditional bourbon notes start popping up, maple, vanilla, touch of oak, caramel, dark fruit. A bit of toasted marshmallow...man, this is a fun glass to nose!Palate - This is nice, smooth and easy to drink. The cinnamon definitely makes an appearance on the palate. The slightest hint of peanut on the back end shows up. It’s good, there is some intermingling or sweet and spice that compliments each other nicely. This is a classic example of what a well made and affordable bourbon could and should be (I think it was low to mid $30 bucks).
Finish - Short to medium, but this is a damn enjoyable bourbon.
Shout out to the team at West Islip Wines & Liquors and the Drink With Friends NY Crew, this was a well selected barrel.
Rating - Bottle, easily. This is a great value and I won't hesitate to say you should pick it up if you like a whiskey with a bit less bite and heat.
